Mental health first aid-training
BCHD Mental Health First Aid training from the National Council for Mental Health. Similar to CPR training, individuals will learn how to provide support to people experiencing mental health challenges. It is an eight-hour training that requires two hours of pre-work and six hours of in-person instruction. At this training, you’ll learn how to assess risk factors, provide initial support and connect individuals to professional resources, when needed. 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Lower Level-Beach Cities Room, 514 N. An Old Town Music Hall tradition: non-stop laughter with three hilarious short films by these two comic geniuses. Cancer Support Community South Bay (CSC South Bay) presents this first in a series of workshops continuing each Wednesday through March 20, 2024 based on Julia Cameron’s bestselling book “The Artist’s Way.” Cancer survivor Karen Sidney will provide tools and insights to provide clarity for what is possible in a person’s life at this time.
