Redondo superintendent applauds district COVID protocol

“The question I’m never asked is, ever, and I think it’s an important question, is how confident are you in RBUSD’s management of the COVID process and protocols,” Redondo Beach Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Steven Keller said at Tuesday night’s school board meeting.

Then he answered his question.

“This place is solid as a rock. Custodians, principals, teachers, district office staff, we’re nimble, we’re agile, we’re accountable, we communicate, we make mistakes and when we do, we own ‘em.”

Later in the meeting, the board listened to over a dozen public comments for and against the district’s indoor mask requirement. Some speakers also advocated in favor of a vaccine mandate for all who enter district buildings.

Confirmed COVID-19 cases at the 12 district schools, as of Tuesday, stood at 20. ER
