Earlier this month, Gallery 478 showcased work by Ron Linden, one of the area’s most respected artists and educators. He was, among other things, the director of the L.A. Harbor College Fine Arts Gallery for over 20 years. Several months ago, Linden was hospitalized with COVID, and, let’s be honest, it was touch-and-go for a few weeks. But “re.dux,” with paintings old and new, signals that he’s still very much in the picture. The show is up through Nov. 4, and the opening reception included a notable range of artists, photographers, sculptors, actors, journalists and other writers. Gallery 478 is located at 478 W.
