Much of Rockn’Fish’s menu does emphasize regional American food – the cuisine of more than one region, in fact. The ambiance is reminiscent of a Chicago steakhouse, while the cuisine has at least a touch of Louisiana. That is a real shrimp and sausage gumbo, the remoulade sauce is freshly made, and the crab po-boy sandwich could be right out of the Gulf state. All the same, there are Pacific Northwest touches like the oak-grilled seafood and a real crab Louie the way they make them in Seattle. We don’t have a category for American Multi-Regional, but if we did Rockn’Fish would probably win that too.
