Hermosa Beach panel to discuss LA sea level

Environmental reporter and Pulitzer Prize finalist Rosanna Xia, Heal the Bay president Tracy Quinn and Los Angeles County Beaches and Harbors Planner Warren Ontiveros will lead a panel discussion titled Rising Tides: Exploring LA’s Readiness for Sea Level Rise on Sunday, from 3 – 4:30 p.m at the Hermosa Beach Community Theater.

The Community Center is at 710 Pier Ave., Hermosa Beach. The event is free, but reservations are recommended and may be made at healthebay.org

Emergency Preparedness

for Hermosa businesses 

Hermosa Beach Emergency Management Coordinator Maurice Wright, Hermosa Police Officer Mick Gaglia, and Los Angeles County Fire Department Firefighter  Brian Kane will lead a discussion on Emergency Preparedness for Businesses at noon on Tuesday, April 30 at the Clark Building, 861 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach. The discussion and lunch are sponsored by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and is free, but registration is required at HBChamber.net. ER
