Surfer’s Walk of Fame
The induction ceremony for Hermosa’s Surfer’s Walk of Fame will take place this Saturday at 11 a.m. on Pier Plaza. This year’s inductees include Liz Benavidez, Ron Garner, Pat Ryan, and the Beach Boys. The induction ceremony will be immediately followed by Spyder Surf Fest, which will feature games, raffles, and live music.
Earth Day at Hermosa Valley
The Hermosa Beach City School District will host a variety of Earth Day events at Hermosa Valley School starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, including a Sea Level Rise Town Hall featuring Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi
Ecological Musical
The Sierra Club’s Angeles Chapter will put on “Limberlost,” a musical about the looming destruction of a swamp, at St. Cross Episcopal Church this Saturday night. The musical is an adaptation of “Girl of the Limberlost,” a 1909 novel by Gene Stratton Porter.
