Basketball: Coach Dave Miller, a current NBA and College basketball analyst, has announced his MVPCAMP summer basketball dates to be held at Aviation Sports Complex 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd Redondo Beach. Football: Registration is open for a new Sunday night Co-Ed Flag Football on the Beach League in Hermosa Beach. Games are held at 10th St. and The Strand at 6:30 p.m. beginning April 26 and are played with two 20-minute halves, alternating guy and girl quarterbacks. Baseball: Beach City Baseball Academy (BCBA) is accepting applications for its “Sixth Tool” $5,000 scholarship. Deadline is May 31. Applicants must reside within 10 miles of Beach City Baseball Academy’s facility in El Segundo and be a graduating 2015 high school senior. Final award is contingent upon applicant’s acceptance and attendance at an accredited college in the United States (university, four-year, or junior college), receipt of an offer to participate in that institution’s baseball program and letter of recommendation from their high school baseball coach. Cycling: The 3rd Annual Tour de Pier, a unique fundraising event that brings one of the hottest indoor fitness activities – stationary cycling – to the Manhattan Beach Pier, takes place Sunday, May 17.
