Owner Caroline Londergan was the first to introduce Pilates to members of The White House, the United States Secret Service, and the Washington D.C. SWAT Team. She brought her services to Hermosa Beach in 2009. She is presently continuing her education with Lolita San Miguel’s Master Mentor Program. Lolita is the only living descendent of Joseph Pilates (the creator of the method) who was a certificate to teach his method.
“White House Pilates places a huge emphasis on our Pilates instructors having the highest level of education,” Londergan said. “Each instructor completes a rigorous 9-month educational training program and a 3-month apprenticeship before being hired. Our Pilates industry is unfortunately becoming compromised by shortened certifications popping up.
The studio is dedicated to providing customers with the most challenging and personalized workouts available. The studio’s Pilates Reformer Class size is small and guarantees individualized attention from instructors to ensure high quality instruction, proper technique, and faster results.
“We believe that having this level of education has paid off in building a Pilates team that the clients have voted Best of the Beach two years in a row,” Londergan said. “We are so honored to win. Our clients really love Pilates and feel a sense of community at our studio. They really make Pilates part of their lifestyle. They find the benefits help them in all aspects of their day from sitting more comfortably at work to the cross-training boosted results in their sporting events.”
