Steve Radl grew up in Manhattan Beach. His kids go to school in the community. And his wife is a teacher at Meadows Elementary school. So most of the customers of Steve Radl Painting are more than just customers: They are neighbors.
Radl said he hasn’t advertised in 10 years, but has still been able to amass a loyal client base because he does the job right. At one point over the summer, Radl said all his business was repeat customers, some of which he painted up to 10 years ago.
“I’m not saying we don’t make mistakes, but if we do we fix them,” he said.
The company specializes in interior and exterior residential painting. Radl, who graduated from Pacific Shores high school, said he was extremely proud of getting voted Best of the Beach.
“I wasn’t smart enough to do anything else,” Radl said. “So I just figured you work hard and keep doing something long enough you’re going to figure out how to do it right.”
