Walk-about, BBQ in North Redondo Beach on Saturday
A walk-about along Artesia Boulevard in North Redondo Beach, between the South Bay Galleria and Aviation Boulevard, a 2.8 mile loop will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is sponsored by the North Redondo Business Association and the Blue Zones Project walking moai program. Participants will be issued passports, which will be stamped by participating merchants. Participants with stamped passports will be eligible for a raffle with an Apple iPad Air as the grand prize. At noon, a barbecue will be held for participants at Redondo Beach Parks and Recreation Center at 1922 Artesia Blvd. Passports may be picked up at the Recreation Center, at Clark Adams Windows, 2411 Artesia Blvd., and the south side of the greenbelt, at 2500 Artesia Blvd.
