In the mid-’70s, Spyder surf sponsored one the top teams in skateboarding.
“I sponsored Kelly Mahon, Kurt Lindgren, Brian Beardsley, and Troy Trujillo. Skaters who invented many of the things skaters do today,” said Spyder founder Dennis Jarvis said. “We were big rivals with the Unity skate team.
Today’s Spyder Skate team has kept this tradition alive.
“Our skate team has won every team competition it has entered the last six years,” he said. “One of our team, Mason Silva, just signed with the Berrics.”
