The 56th annual International Surf Festival takes place this weekend and highlights world class waterwomen and watermen, both young and old, in a variety of athletic competitions. Mustang Down

Learn about Gertrude Tompkins who, on October 26, 1944, climbed into her P-51 Mustang and took off from Mines Field (now part of LAX). She was never heard from again. Of the 38 Women’s Airforce Service Pilots killed during World War II, she is the only one still missing. Admission to Museum $5. Music Together

Memory & Aging workshop

Learn to differentiate normal from unhealthy aging processes so that you can identify early symptoms of cognitive impairment in yourself and/or your loved ones.
