Saint John’s Cardiovascular Research Center

The 20th Anniversary of the Saint John’s Cardiovascular Research Center at LA BioMed was celebrated on September 20 with a tour of the laboratories and presentations of ongoing research in the Blaufuss Amphitheater followed by a reception and dinner for guests and investigators. The Saint John’s building houses research laboratories and the academic offices for the Divisions of Cardiology, Infectious Diseases, and Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. The honored guests included Frank DeSantis, first president of research administration who oversaw planning and construction of the 30,000 square foot building on the Harbor-UCLA Campus. Harbor-UCLA Medical Center administration was represented by Delvecchio Finley, CEO. Many of the Friends of LA BioMed attended. The event was hosted by Dr. John Michael Criley.
