UPDATE: Charlotte Yieng Soun Pitzer has been found. RBPD announced at 4:16 p.m. that Pitzer was located at a local hospital and has been reunited with her family. The original story is below.

Redondo Beach Police are asking the public’s help in locating Charlotte Yieng Soun Pitzer, a 22 year old woman reported missing by her family earlier this week.

She is described as a Cambodian-American female adult, 5’2″ and 120 lbs. She was last seen wearing all black clothing, and has a short, cropped haircut. However, she is known to wear wigs. Pitzer also has two tattoos on her arms: one on the inside of her arm below the elbow, reading “I shall overcome”; the second is a red heart on her wrist.

According to police, Pitzer was last seen near her home on the 2200 block of Rockefeller Lane around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20. She’s believed to have walked away from her home around that time.

According to reports, Pitzer suffers from mental illness, and is a potential danger to herself, which is why police are treating this as a critical case.

“We’re unsure of what she’ll do as a result of [her mental illness],” Lt. Fabien Saucedo said.

Redondo Beach Police ask anyone who may have seen Pitzer or can provide information as to her location to please contact the department at 310-379-5411.
