Waterfront developer CenterCal Properties is holding the third in a series of community workshops on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to noon. Members of the public are invited to provide ideas and input on the development design at the meeting, which will be held at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center.

Post office moving

Redondo Beach Post Office No. 2 in the Riviera Village closed its doors last week. The post office is expected to reopen tomorrow in the same plaza as the Bull Pen, which is in Torrance but has a Redondo Beach address.

Galleria expands

South Bay Galleria is adding three new stores to its list of retailers – fashion retailers Aeropostale and P.S. From Aeropostale, and frozen yogurt chain Tutti Frutti. P.S. From Aeropostale is the newest division of Aeropostale, providing clothing and accessories for children ages four through 12; both stores will open in May. Tutti Frutti will open in March.

Habitat restoration

The LA Corps’ SEA Lab staff will be enhancing the beauty of the Redondo Beach bluffs by planting native shrubs and wildflowers and removing invasive plant species on Saturday, Feb. 23. If you would like to be part of the restoration, meet at Esplanade and Vista Del Mar at 10 a.m. Bring gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a lunch.

First fish fry

Los Crusados Council of the Knights of Columbus in Redondo Beach is holding its annual Lenten Fish Fries on all Fridays during Lent. The first fish fry is Feb. 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Council Hall at 214 Ave. I. A donation of $11 for adults and $5 for children (12 and under) can be made at the door. All money goes to charity. Election approaching

Redondo Beach residents are being urged to register to vote, as March 5 is just under two weeks away. To check your registration status, visit lavote.net/secured/voter_reg. To find your polling place, visit lavote.net/locator.

More Measure A

The authors of Measure A will be at Crowne Plaza in Redondo Beach tonight from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to answer questions from members of the public.
