Manhattan Beach police news: missing packages, stolen iPad

iPad theft
An iPad was stolen from an unlocked vehicle sometime between Dec. 13 and Dec. 19 in the 1200 block of 8th Street, police said. The victim located his iPad with an online G.P.S. and provided police with its last known location.

Missing packages
Two packages were stolen off a front porch on Dec. 21 in the 1800 block of Palm Avenue, police said. Two more packages were reported missing that same day from a front porch on the 2000 block of Palm Avenue.

Stolen mail
A suspect entered an unlocked house on Dec. 22 in the 100 block of 28th Place and stole the victim’s mail, police said.

Grand theft auto
A car was stolen on Meadows Avenue north of Manhattan Beach Boulevard between Dec. 14 and Dec. 16, police said. The victim had reportedly parked his car on Meadows Avenue but found it missing when he returned to the area.

Car burglary
Clothing, school books and an iPod were stolen sometime between the evening of Dec. 17 and the morning of Dec. 18 from a locked car outside the victim’s residence in the 1600 block of 21st Street, police said. The victim reported that his front passenger window was broken.
