This year, the city’s Holiday Fireworks Show was broadcast nationally via the Travel Channel‘s “Jingle Brawls,” a program which pits eight pairs of cities around the country in a friendly competition for a “Best of the Nation” title. Manhattan Beach’s show faced off with the Niagra Falls Winter Festival, a showcase of festive fireworks over the falls.

An all-day celebration in downtown Manhattan Beach preceded the 7 p.m. fireworks display, including performances by Hyperion Outfall, Ari Perelmuter and Mira Costa High School’s marching band, jazz band, chamber orchestra, vocal ensemble and cheer team.
