Three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh-Jennings will be holding a fundraiser for beach volleyball on Sunday, Jan. 20.

Volleyball: The first annual Kerri Walsh-Jennings and Santa Monica Beach Volleyball Club Fundraiser will be held Sunday, Jan. 20 at the Annenberg Beach House, 415 Pacific Coast Hwy, Santa Monica. From 3:30-5 p.m., the three time Olympic gold medalist will join her husband and pro beach volleyball star Casey Jennings along with Olympic beach volleyball coach Dane Selznick in holding a clinic. Following the clinic, a dinner/auction will be held from 5:30-9 p.m. Cost for the clinic is $100; dinner/auction is $125 per person. Chase the Stars Foundation, Good Tidings, Wholesports and GameOn have come together to generate funds to build beach volleyball courts and provide scholarships to benefit players. Running: Registration is open for the 35th Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K Walk/Run to be held Feb. 3. Entry fees are $30 for the 10K, 5K and Baby Buggy races until Dec. 31 (add $5 until Feb. 2). A combo package for the 10K and 5K for $50 will be available starting Jan. 1, 2013. Nearly 10,000 people attend the annual event, which includes a costume contest and custom awards for the top three finishers in each category. Michelob Ultra will host a Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 3 from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. as well as the post-race hospitality area. The Party Meets the Pavement: The 4th Annual Allstate Life Insurance Los Angeles 13.1 Half Marathon and 5K will be held on Sunday beginning at 7 a.m. The half marathon begins on the Venice Boardwalk and ends in Playa Del Rey. Live entertainment, food and refreshments including the Michelob Ultra beer garden will highlight the festivities. Runners will also be able to donate the shoes off their feet through a special partnership with Allstate and Give Your Sole, which provides worn athletic shoes for those in need. The 5K will begin 15 minutes after the start of the marathon. Entry fees are $95 (half marathon) and $35 (5K) through Jan. 12. For more information, visit 131LosAngeles.com.

Football: Registration is underway for the Beach Cities Sports Youth Flag Football Spring Season, which will begin in March with Friday night, Saturday or Sunday games. The league consists of four divisions for players ages 6-12. A Future Stars Division for Kindergarten-aged kids is also available. Most games are played at Mira Costa’s Waller Stadium, pitting kids of similar ages in competitive, fast-paced 8-on-8 games. Cost is $275 per player (plus $20 for pants). Surfing: The South Bay Boardriders Club has announced the schedule for its 2012-13 South Bay Surf Series. Open to non-club members, contests are slated for Saturday, Feb. 2 at El Porto; Saturday, Mar. 9 at 26th Street, Manhattan Beach; Saturday, April 13 at El Porto and Saturday, May 11 at the Manhattan Beach Pier. Track and Field: Former All-American and longtime UCLA coach Anthony Curran has started a youth track-and-field program for kids ages 10-14.
