Jewelry store inside Manhattan Village robbed, suspects at large

Police are seeking up to four suspects in connection with a robbery late Sunday morning at a jewelry store inside Manhattan Village Mall.

Around 11:29 a.m., Manhattan Beach police responded to multiple calls of a robbery in progress at Prestige Jewelers at 3200 N. Sepulveda Boulevard. According to police, two men wearing ski masks ran into the store and used hammers to smash the display cases. In the span of 45 seconds, they removed multiple jewelry pieces before exiting the store.

The two men ran into a van waiting outside, according to police. After driving northbound from the mall, they abandoned the van near the Marriott Hotel and entered a gray Chrysler or Chevrolet minivan, which was let seen driving away east on Parkview Avenue.

The abandoned van was reported stolen out of the City of Inglewood one day prior, according to police.

The first suspect is described as a 20-year-old male with a thin build about 6-foot-2-inches all, last seen wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt and black/blue shoes.

The second suspect is described as a male in his 20s, last seen wearing a black hoodie jacket bearing a logo, black pants and white tennis shoes.

The third suspect (driver of stolen van) is described as 21 or 22 years old, 5-foot-10 with short curly hair, tattoo on the left side of his left eye, wearing a gray tank top, black basketball shorts, gray socks and black tennis shoes.

No description is available for the fourth suspect.
