Juvenile arrested with phony bills
Hermosa Beach police arrested a juvenile boy last week after the youth allegedly attempted to pass counterfeit U.S. currency at several local businesses. On Sept. 4, police responded to the 800 block of Hermosa Ave. where a witness identified the alleged fraudster, police said. The youth was booked on suspicion of forgery and released to the custody of his mother.
