Hearts of Hermosa raises funds for schools

Hearts of Hermosa, the annual fundraiser for Hermosa Beach schools that is put on by the Hermosa Beach Education Foundation, had more than 600 people in attendance this year.  Foundation officials say that attendance was at a record high for the event, which has been held for the past 18 years.  More than $260,000 was raised  for local schools at the event in March. The event, which was held in a tented area next door to the Community Center, included dinner live music, dancing a a silent auction, with everything from ski-vacation getaways to artwork produced by classes from Hermosa Beach schools.
