PAINTING WEEK VILLA NARCISSA – II
PAINTING WEEK VILLA NARCISSA – II
April 2 to April 7
Villa Narcissa is a rare gem: a hillside Italian garden, surrounded by Nature Conservancy with Southern California’s best views of the Pacific and Catalina Island. It has been loved and lived in by the Vanderlip family for over 100 years. Katrina Vanderlip will give a tour of the house and tell you some of the historythroughout the week.
All profits from the painting week will go towards much neededrepairs and maintenance of the estate.
Daniel Pinkham and Katrina Vanderlip met as teenagers in art class at Palos Verdes High School, and they share a passion for the Peninsula’s beauty and history. Both interpret the wonders around them with their own poetry.
Last year, Daniel and Katrina decided to stage Painting Weeks at Villa Narcissa. The Paintings Weeks were conceived to create a setting and atmosphere where high quality classic painting can be taught
This sessions will be quite exciting. Daniel has found five fabulous teachers for the oil painters who will do demonstrations in the morning and lessons in the afternoon.
