The Great Pumpkin Hunt at South Coast Botanic Garden

Dates: October 1st – November 30th
Price:  Members are FREE. For nonmembers, event is included with General Garden Admission. Advance tickets are strongly encouraged.

After a sneaky squirrel and ravenous rabbit ate last year’s prized pumpkin, the birds of South Coast Botanic Garden (ravens, owls, hummingbirds and hawks) have teamed up to save this year’s patch. They’ve secreted the pumpkins away to a clandestine location. Can you help us find the missing pumpkin patch? Armed with your birdwatcher’s map, travel through the grounds of South Coast Botanic Garden in search of the hidden abodes of our feathered friends and collect the clues left in their bird houses.  The clues will lead you to the South Coast Botanic Garden Pumpkin Patch.

The hunt will be family-friendly, imaginative, adventurous, and will require some hiking through our nature trails. Put on your tennis shoes and dust off the strollers for an afternoon of fresh air and energy burning excursion!
