Carson Remembers MLK with a Tribute Show
The City of Carson will be presenting its Annual Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with an evening celebration in honor of the late civic leader.
The event is scheduled for January 12 at 6 p.m. at the Congresswoman Juanita Millender McDonald Community Center located at 801 E. Carson Street in Carson. Admission is free and open to the public.
This year’s entertainment includes song, dance, and inspirational words from prominent leaders in the community.
“Each year, we celebrate the valuable contributions Dr. King made to civil rights, personal freedom, and justice everywhere,” said Carson Mayor Albert Robles. “We are proud to present this wonderful event in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday.”
