Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Beauty of Nature Film Series: The Big Year, Sunday, July 9th, 5pm –The Big Year (2011; 100 min), a high-flying comedy about the escapades of a trio of competitive bird watchers who vow to win a contest by spotting and recording as many avian species as humanly possible. Cast includes Owen Wilson, Steve Martin, and Jack Black.  Peninsula High School Theater, 27118 Silver Spur Road.  Cost $10 online.
