“I am excited to be a part of the ‘Art in the Garden’ fundraiser,” says Nina Zak Laddon. The event takes place from 12 noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at 2909 Blaisdell Ave., Redondo Beach. Money from sales of artwork, which includes photography, sculpture, jewelry, silk scarves, mosaics and more, will benefit two upcoming exhibitions, “CA 101 2014” in June, and the “Power of Art 2014” in October. Both events have had successful runs in the past and those responsible for them intend to keep that happening.

“We count on community support in order to produce free quality art exhibitions,” Laddon continues. “Meet the artists, buy a Mother’s Day gift, sit with a glass of lemonade, and enjoy the spring’s blooms.”

The afternoons in the garden, and you never know who you’ll meet there, are sponsored by Friends of Redondo Beach Arts and the Redondo Beach Art Group.
