NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL TO ADOPT THE CITY’S COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) 2015-2020 CONSOLIDATED PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Redondo Beach has prepared a Draft 2015-2020 Five-Year Consolidated Plan identifying programs that will be assisted with the City’s Community Development Block Group (CDBG) funds.
The City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 5th 2015, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 415 Diamond Street, Redondo Beach, California. The purpose of this hearing is to receive any further public input and to adopt the Consolidated Plan.
The CDBG program that is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is intended to benefit primarily low and moderate income persons and persons with special needs through affordable housing, economic opportunities, public facilities and infrastructure improvements, and public services. The Consolidated Plan includes a needs assessment and market analysis, in addition to a citizen participation process, to identify priority needs and develop strategies to address the City’s overall housing and community development needs utilizing federal CDBG funds.
HUD has notified the City that it will be receiving $266,182 in CDBG funds for the program year July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 (FY 2015-2016).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT, the Financial Services Department of the City of Redondo Beach, California, will receive bids until 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Door C, City Hall, 415 Diamond Street, Redondo Beach, California, (310) 318-0602 for:
Publication of legal notices for the City of Redondo Beach.
All bids received will be publicly opened and read at the time stated, at the Financial Services Department, Door C, 415 Diamond Street, Redondo Beach, California.
Bids shall be submitted in the following manner:
- In a sealed envelope bearing the bid number and title of the bid on the outside of the envelope;
- With the name and address of the bidder on the outside of the envelope;
- On the attached forms provided by the City Clerk’s Office, which must be completed in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and all other requirements contained in the bid document.
Section 19.5 of the City Charter of the City of Redondo Beach provides in part that the annual contract for the publication of all legal notices or other matter required to be published in a newspaper of general circulation circulated in the City of Redondo Beach shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.
