MOTHERS DAY

A tribute to mothers: Torrance Memorial Hospice presents a special event to honor the memory of the mother figure in your life, Memories of Mother Celebratory Tea. High-tea menu, musical entertainment. Guests are invited to bring photos of their mothers and to wear their favorite hat. The minimum age is 14 years. 2 – 4 p.m. Torrance Memorial Medical Center Hoffman Health Conference Center, 3330 Lomita Blvd., Torrance. “Springtime Splendor”: The Palos Verdes Woman’s Club’s 58th Annual Garden Tour features five homes which will be opened for viewing. 10 – 4 p.m. All proceeds go to scholarships for Peninsula High Seniors and to area charities. Yoga on the Beach: Beach Cities Free Fitness Series public workouts are held each Monday at 6:30 p.m. through August 25th. Yoga on the beach, south of the Manhattan Beach Pier through May 19th, Zumba dance starts June 2nd – 30th at Alta Vista Park, Redondo Beach and July 7th through 28th at Jefferson Elementary School, Redondo Beach.
