Police are looking for a man who burglarized a Torrance business March 17 by breaking in through the roof and dropping in from the ceiling.

At about 5:30 a.m. a man broke into Family Acupuncture Clinic on 3525 Lomita Blvd. and stole about $300. Surveillance footage of the incident shows the man drop from the ceiling and exit through another door.

The man is described as in his 20s or 30s, about six feet tall with a medium build. He wore a grey shirt, jeans and a blue beanie during the incident, Torrance Sgt. Robert Watt said.

The incident March 17 hasn’t been tied to any other incidents in Torrance or surrounding cities, Watt said.

Watt said while seeing a burglary suspect break in through the ceiling isn’t unheard of, it is unusual.

“It’s pretty distinctive,” Watt said.

Anyone who recognizes the man or has information about the incident can contact the Torrance Police Department at 310-328-3456.
