Breakwall BarBar Rescue: It didn’t take long for Kilkenney’s on the Redondo Beach Pier to go through its cycle but the sisters are getting another chance as we saw on last night’s episode of the Spike TV show, “Bar Rescue.” Jon Taffer and his crew revamped the joint which is now called, “Breakwall,” (because the bar is built on a breakwall, the large rock formations designed to control the ocean’s break), and will be a “sportsbar” in the same vein as most bars consider themselves sportsbars. New Owner: Long time renegade owner, (those of you who know, know what I mean), DQ has sold his beloved Hermosa Saloon to Kenny Garmoe, who assumed leadership July 1. He said the fourth of July week-end was awesome, though they did close on the actual holiday to give the staff time off with friends and family. The employees are staying the same, (except for DQ), and there are no planned changes other than a computerized cash register as the current one is very old – I voted to keep it because it was always part of the charm for me but I lost…
