Walking into the Gasser Lounge on Aviation is like walking into a David Lynch dream sequence. Everything is dim, red and sexy. And for a rock n’ roll bar with a biker mentality, the Gasser is pretty darn classy. Maybe it’s this magic blend of grit and glamour that brought home the second win for best neighborhood bar to Gasser’s.

Or maybe it’s their laid-back approach to an otherwise trendy concept. Don’t let the Johnny Cash shrine or obscure playlist intimidate you. Gasser’s is truly a neighborhood bar and strives to make all feel welcome.

“This place is so non-pretentious it hurts,” one loyal regular said. “I am not rockabilly, punk rock, or hipster girl and I still fit in. I love great drinks and great people and that’s exactly what you’ll find here. No one cares what you look like.”

The drinks are cheap and well-made, the owner and staff are friendly and approachable and the tiny interior means making new friends, fast. Howdy, neighbor.
