South Bay Gold is celebrating a lot of milestones as of late. Two years ago, the company brought under its brand Finley’s Jewelers, a Riviera Village establishment since 1924. It has showrooms in Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach and Torrance, where the company keeps its $2 million manufacturing facility and refinery. In addition to manufacturing their own lines of jewelry, they buy and sell diamonds, gold and silver, and watches. “The sales people weigh the product in front of you, test it in front of you and pay you on the spot,” manager Brian Cook says. “Everything is very transparent.” He added that rare coins have become a major segment of the business in the last few years.
