Best Breakfast omelet: Martha’s

The competition for the best omelet in the South Bay is always fierce, and Martha’s almost always wins. It’s more than the picturesque beach view patio (though that’s quite a draw) or the generally cheerful, efficient service (the smiles are almost as much of a wake-up as the coffee).
Martha’s does interesting things with eggs – the omelet topped with homemade hummus, for instance, or the one folded around fresh asparagus, sautéed mushrooms, and provolone, topped with hollandaise sauce. There are nifty scrambles too, such as the Thai with veggies and peanut sauce, or the marinated sundried tomatoes with bacon and Parmesan. You can enjoy anything from comfort food to adventurous combinations, and every week hundreds of people show up from miles around to do just that. Don’t worry, the line moves quickly, and what’s at the other end is worth it.
