If there’s a sweet beat being played in the South Bay, most likely it’s coming from the turntables of South Bay native DJ DIK.
“This past year was dominated mostly by my Friday night residency at American Junkie. We are continuing it through the summer,” DJ DIK said. “Another staple has been my Thursday night residency at Sharkeez Hermosa w/ DJ BlackSheep who’s been working hard around town and deserves a respected mention.”
Besides locally, DJ DIK’s been holding residencies at 41 Ocean, Brick+Mortar and Buffalo Club in Santa Monica with a few destination weddings in Hawaii and random private and corporate events for a long list of clients. Last October, while DJ DIK was mixing the wheels at American Junkie, Justin Bieber jumped on stage.
“We did a couple songs together and it was a pretty wild night. Somehow it made its way onto TMZ,” laughed DJ Dik..
“No matter what venue or event I’m playing any given night, I can mold into that scene without anybody noticing,” he said. “I can’t thank the South Bay enough for the support and putting up with me year end and year out. I’m just trying to do my part to keep everybody around here having fun.” DJDIK.com.
