GI Joe Summer Pier 2 Pier Run/Walk

The annual sand run goes from Hermosa Beach Pier to Manhattan Beach Pier and back. 7 a.m. Saturday, July 12 Runners receive T-shirts, goodie bags and raffle prizes.. CBVA Cal Cup Championships

The California Beach Volleyball Association hosts numerous tournaments throughout the summer for adults and youth of all skill levels. The season is highlighted by the Cal Cup State Championships Aug. 30-31 in Hermosa and Manhattan Beach. Complete schedule and fees available at cbva.com.

The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) holds beach volleyball tournament for youth including the Southern Pacific Championships May 31 (Hermosa Beach), a Summer Series at Marine Street in Manhattan Beach, the Jr. National Championships July 12-13 (Hermosa Beach) and the west Coast Jr. Olympic Games National Club Championships July 26027 (Hermosa Beach).
