American Martyrs 5K RunWalk in Manhattan Beach treads on 34th year [PHOTOS]
On Saturday morning, more than 850 participants of all ages breezed through the Manhattan Beach tree section for the 34th annual American Martyrs 5K RunWalk. Funds raised benefit the endowment of American Martyrs School, a private K-8 catholic institution in Manhattan Beach. Race results are available here. Photos

Kailani Melvin, an AMS second-grader, and her dad David finished the race and won the best costume contest as sign flippers.
17-year-old Alex Fiori is the first place winner in the AMS 5K.
Kate Myers of Manhattan Beach is the first woman to finish the 5K. Matthew Arruda, 15, runs alongside her and came in 8th place overall.
