The boys and girls basketball and soccer teams from Mira Costa and Redondo renew their rivalry Tuesday when the squads face each other in pivotal Bay League contests.

Redondo hosts the girls basketball contest at 6 p.m. followed by the boys who tip off at 7:30 p.m. The Sea Hawks will also host the boys soccer match at 3 p.m. while the girls battle it out at Mira Costa with the same start time.
Last season, Mira Costa gave Palos Verdes its first league loss since 2007 while earning a share of the Bay League championship.
Mira Costa’s girls soccer team proved it will be a force to be reckoned with when the race for a Bay League title begins after the winter break. The Mustangs captured the prestigious South Holiday Tournament with a 3-1 victory over league rival Peninsula.
