Former Loyola High stand-out, Stanford All American and European indoor volleyball professional Curt Toppel took his game to the beach over the long weekend and won the 53rd Annual 16th Street Volleyball tournament. The 6-foot-9 hitter was the “A” player on a team that also included Mike Igloi, Duncan Avery and Walter “Gator” Tomlinson.
