Manhattan Beach Cultural Arts Division Presents Live Painting—Three Graces Mash Up

WHAT: Renowned oil painter Cynda Valle invites the public to visit her as she live paints her latest work Three Graces Mash Up.

WHEN: Saturdays and Sundays 12:00 pm—5:00 pm during length of exhibition

WHERE: Manhattan Beach Art Center 1560 Manhattan Beach Blvd. Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 Admission is Free

ABOUT: Originally intended to be the centerpiece of the exhibit Very Cinematic Narrative, the painting Three Graces Mash Up will instead be the focus of a unique experience at the Art Center, where artist Cynda Valle will work on the painting in full view of visitors and solicit their thoughts and opinions. “I paint figurative work,” said Valle, “Humans are taught to identify with humans at an early age, and I’ve always noticed people have strong, almost visceral reactions when seeing my work.” Valle intends the experience to be conversational rather than observational. She has placed two chairs directly behind her work station and invites visitors to sit down and tell stories about faint childhood memories, or to share opinions on what is happening in the painting. “It is a remarkable experience and helps me paint,” said Valle. Exhibition schedule: Very Cinematic Narrative January 13th, 2017— March 12th, 2017 For more information, please contact the Manhattan Beach Cultural Arts Division (310) 802—5440 or infombac@citymb.info Or visit www.cyndavalle.com
