History comes alive at the Living History Museum of African American Heroes! People of all ages and backgrounds are invited to browse through our “museum.” The exhibits show children portraying African Africans who have made life better for all Americans. We learn, recognize and celebrate the achievements of some of our nation’s greatest artists, scientists, and leaders at this amazing annual event.
The Palos Verdes Library District is a nationally recognized, award-winning library system serving all four cities on the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula. We collaborate with our community to create environments for learning and inspiration, and to share the unique history of the Peninsula. PVLD is an independent special district governed by a publicly elected Board of Trustees.
