Palos Verdes Library District and the USC Emeriti Center College present Jazz & Swing: Yet Another Encore!

When: March 7, 14, 21, 28, and April 4 and 11 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Where: Peninsula Center Library Community Room
This multi-media presentation is filled with musical examples, rare photos, film clips, humorous stories, and live demonstrations that stimulate, educate and entertain. Join us for entirely new lectures on The Benny Goodman Story; Big Band Stars Charlie Barnet and Les Brown; Piano Stars of Jazz and Swing; The African Roots of Jazz and Swing; Harlem Stars of Jazz and Swing; and British Stars of Jazz and Swing.
This 6-week course will be taught by Dr. Thom David Mason, retired Professor of Jazz Studies at the Department at the Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California.

Sponsored by Palos Verdes Library District and the USC Emeriti Center College, these classes are free and open to the public.
