CLIMB, RIDE, SLIDE, FLY: 2017 ADVENTURE FILM FESTIVAL

The 2017 Adventure Film Festival will screen Sunday, June 18 at the Hermosa Beach Community Center located at 710 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254. Doors open at 5:00 pm and films will screen at 6:30pm. Come early for happy hour and silent auction. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at www.adventurefilm.org/la/

Now in its 14^th year, the Adventure Film Festival is an international forum for the best and most inspiring independent adventure films of the year. Encompassing all aspects of adventure, from serious exploration to environmental heroism to gripping tales from the edge of the believable, the festival premieres in Boulder, CO before beginning a world tour.  Witness gritty, profound, and inspiring films that manifest the spirit of adventure. This is the first year that the Festival will screen in the Los Angeles area. 

Inspire a love of the outdoors for urban youth. Proceeds from the film festival benefit the Sierra Club’s Los Angeles Inspiring Connections Outdoors (LA ICO) outreach program which provides opportunities for urban youth to explore and protect the natural world, develop leadership skills, and foster a love of the outdoors.  Over 4,000 youth visited our local mountains and beaches last year through the auspices of LA ICO. Festival sponsors include Intrepid Travel, Fjallraven, and Avery Craft Brewing.
