A Christmas boat parade in Redondo and a fireworks show in Manhattan lit up the waterfront over the weekend for thousands of holiday celebrants. Over two dozen boats participated in the "Salute to American Heroes" parade, organized by the King Harbor Yacht Club on Saturday night. "Bay Watch" star Mitzi Kapture was the grand marshal.

On Sunday night, a holiday concert with the John Brown Band and the Hyperion Outfall Serenaders preceded a fireworks show at the Manhattan Beach pier. The fireworks show was presented by Manhattan Coolers and the City of Manhattan Beach.
