Flute carolers

Campus Concerts is featuring young flutists at the Rolling Hills Plaza Friday, Dec. 21 and Saturday, Dec. 22 from noon to 2 p.m. The students will perform holiday music at various sites throughout the plaza. The plaza is located at the corner of Crenshaw and PCH in Torrance. 326-5761.

"Scrooge"

The City of Torrance Youth Theatre Production and Performance class is presenting "Scrooge" at the James Armstrong Theatre, 3330 Civic Center. Performances are today at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 23 at 2 p.m. Seating is reserved. $12 adults, $7 children 12 and under and seniors 55 and over. 618-2376.

Welcome the New Year

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Pier Plaza in downtown Hermosa Beach. For the fourth year Big Band 2000 will be performing. Hot coffee and hot chocolate will be served. 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. 318-0280.

Extravaganza

Celebrate at the Redondo Beach Elk’s Club at their third annual Casino Royale New Years Eve Extravaganza. This is an adult-only fundraising event including music, dinner, dancing, full bar, and casino royale. Advanced tickets are $25, at the door $30.
