Now Open: Back Home At LaHaina, Sepulveda MB in the spot last occupied about a hundred years ago by Wolves Den. This sister resto to LaHaina in Torrance will offer beer and wine. Congrats on finally getting it done. Now Open: Blue Pacific Asian cuisine, Hermosa Ave, HB in the space previously occupied by Uncle Stavros Cafe. Opening This Week: Levi's vintage shop in the spot previously occupied maybe 20 years ago by Pier Connection, Pier Plaza, HB. Anyone remember that place? New: Java Man, Pier Ave, HB, has started a weekly comedy and open mic night every Tuesday night at 8pm. Sign-ups at 7:30pm. This is in addition to the popular live music night at the Java Lounge on Wednesdays. Sold: Beluga, Morningside, off Manhattan Ave, MB. Bought by a conglomerate. No word yet on changes to the resto.

Toys For Tots One: The 18th Annual Toys For Tots fundraiser is being held this Saturday, Dec. 15 at Spectrum Sports Club, Park Place, off Rosecrans, El Segundo, 8:30pm-12am. Live music by Rock'n Santa and the Elf Tones, light hors d'oeuvre and first drink provided, no host bar. Tix are $20 per person in advance, $25 at the door plus an unwrapped toy, (no stuffed animals), for this semi-formal charity event.
