
RUHS freshman girls volleyball team took first place in the North High Freshman Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 27. Setter Brittany Pratte was chosen as the tournament MVP. The team is currently tied for first place in Bay League competition with a 13W and 1L record. Duncan Avery, former All-CIF setter for RUHS, class of 2000 coaches the team. Charity Basketball Game
On Saturday, Nov. 3 the Fire and Police Departments of Redondo Beach are having a charity basketball game/fundraiser at Redondo Union High to support community children. A BBQ begins at 6 p.m. and the game tip off is at 7 p.m. On behalf of the business community you can help by donating a raffle prize by Thursday, Nov. 1 at noon to the RB Chamber at 200 N. PCH, or by attending the event. Tickets are available at the door. $10 for adults (18 and over), $5 for middle and high school students with ID; and children 12 and under are free.
