Sports: The Arizona Diamondbacks — how long have they been in the league? About ten minutes, and they barely lost game three in New York to make it a 2-1 series against the all-mighty Yanks. What is this world coming to? NBA: Jordan vs the Knicks opener at the Garden Tuesday night: Neither looked very good. NFL: Giddiyup — the Cowboys make it two in a row. College: How about my Dutchmen? Hofstra, (my alma mater on Long Island, NY), is at 7-1, in first place in the Atlantic 10 Conference, (for all you lifelong West Coaster’s, "Atlantic" is the name of that other ocean), and possibly on their way to the Championship. I don’t think Miami and Nebraska are running scared but the Flying Dutchmen/Pride are tearing up Division 1AA competition and they deserve some props especially after spawning such pro talent as Wayne Chrebet of the Jets and Lance Schulters, Dave Fiore and Giovanni Carmazzi of the 49ers. You Bruins know our b-ball team gave you guys a run for your money last year. Look out tulip pickers. It’s Y2K all over again…
