Storage Facility Robbed
Patrons who stopped into Public Storage on Hughes Way last weekend were surprised to find the office manager bound. Earlier a man wearing all-black clothing and a bandana over his face came into the office, tied up the manager with rope and absconded with $400 from the cash register. This was the second such robbery at the facility this year. A rash of similar crimes have also occurred in recent months at other South Bay storage companies.
Not So Secure
A female flight attendant staying in an El Segundo hotel last week has accused a male security guard of fondling her. The woman works for an airline company based outside of the United States. The airline had contracted for two security guards -- one male and the other female -- to protect the attendant. When the female guard left for the rest room, the male guard allegedly made his advance. ER
