Krazy kayak day

The Roundhouse Marine Aquarium is presenting a kayak expedition of Redondo Harbor. Kayaks, paddles and life jackets are provided, while getting a hands-on kayak lesson. 9 a.m.-noon. $65. For reservations call 548-7562.

Discopooluza

The Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a teen Discopooluza at Begg Pool from 7-9 p.m. The event is open to teens in sixth to eighth grades. $5 per person which includes a live DJ, music, swimming, dancing and staff supervision. Participants must sign up at the Teen Center in Manhattan Heights Community Center (1600 Manhattan Heights Blvd.) and parents must sign a release form for each participant. The pool is located in the southwest corner of Polliwog Park at Manhattan Beach Blvd. and Peck Ave. For more information call 802-5428.

Sports camp

Instructor Corky Bell provides kids ages 6-12 with expert instruction in baseball, basketball and soccer. Weeklong camp begins today and takes place at Clark Field and Hermosa Valley Park and wraps up on Friday, August 24 with a day at the beach featuring volleyball, boogie boards, games, etc. Corky Bell’s next sports camp begins Monday, August 27 through Friday, August 31. Skyhawks golf camp

Skyhawks week long golf progam is designed to introduce youth golfers to the fundamentals of the game in a fun setting. Grip, stance, swing, putting, chipping, and driving are covered along with rules and etiquette. Participants need to bring their own golf clubs.
