Nearly 150 runners lined up for the
Dick Fitzgerald Two-Mile Beach Run Saturday morning during the Beach Cities
Health District International Surf Festival. Manhattan Beachs Jeff
Atkinson won the event in 11:43, followed by Jara Snopek (12:07) and Matt
Harris (12:32). Lifeguard Chris Linkletter was the first woman finisher
in 14:32. She was followed by Diane Silva (14:37) and Mara Caples (14:52).
